Fundraising for Noto Peninsula Earthquake
As you have all probably heard, a major earthquake hit the Noto Peninsula of Japan on New Year's Day. The death toll continues to rise, and relief efforts continue to be hampered by winter weather and other obstacles.
On Monday, January 15th from 11 am to 3 pm, various Japanese organizations here in Tucson including Tucson Japanese Language School will gather at Ikkyu Japanese restaurant to raise money for those affected by the earthquake. A portion of restaurant sales as well as proceeds from the sale of a variety of drinks and sweets will be donated. There will also be music performances to send good energy to people in Japan.
We hope you'll consider attending to enjoy some delicious Japanese food while also helping those in the Noto area. Please share this information with your families and friends too.
